Accident on Dragon's Edge

(Takes place during Race to the Edge.)

I sighed, as much as I love this island, staying here with five other teens, six dragons, and so much work to do can really wear one out. Especially if that one person is currently dealing with a full bladder. Yes, I know, being the heir to Berk, and riding a very rare, very powerful Night Fury, I should be tough enough and mature enough to handle my own bodily needs, however, since privacy has been rather scarce this past week, I've tried my best to deal with it.

I've always managed to make it before anything happened, so I didn't see it as too bad, but since we're currently doing drills in the forest that don't look like their gonna end soon, my bladder filling up nearly to its limits, and my stubbornness against asking to leave, I might be cutting it very close this time. It a good thing I remembered to go before we came out here, or I'd be in much worse shape.

Trying to focus more on the drills rather than my aching bladder, I examined each of my friends' new tricks on their dragons. "Very well, Astrid, nice maneuver. Ruff, Tuff, your turn." I called out. "Already?" Ruffnut complained, "Yeah, our turn was ages ago," Tuffnut agreed. I sighed, I'm in too much pain for this, "Guys, I'm not in the mood for your silly antics, just show us what you've been working on with Barf and Belch."

I would never say this to the twins, but I kinda pity that dragon.

Astrid decided to speak up, "Come on, you two, if we were attacked at any moment, we want to be ready." Thank you, Astrid, for being the voice of reason. Even though the twins don't listen to reason. "We're already ready, we can sense an enemy from a mile away," Tuffnut boasted proudly, however, he was spooked by Snotlout, who had snuck up behind him, and startled him. "The only thing you can sense is your own nonsense. Don't worry guys, I got this," he said, mounting his dragon, Hookfang.

Astrid walked up to me and whispered, "Sense your own nonsense?" I shrugged, "This is Snotlout we're talking about," I whispered back. I jotted down some notes for myself in the little journal I carry around, trying to take my mind off of how badly I needed to pee right then.

It was getting harder to keep still, and eventually I gave into dancing slightly, since it helped me hold it. "Hiccup, are you feeling alright?" Astrid asked, I blushed slightly, that girl can sense anything out of place. "Of course, I'm alright, why do you ask?" the last thing I wanted to do was admit that I needed to pee greatly, since I should be old enough to hold it on my own.

"You're fidgeting," she pointed out, I then forced myself to stand still, "I didn't even notice," I bluffed. Secretly praying that I don't wet myself before the drills are over, I glanced at the forest behind me. If needed, I could bolt when no one noticed, then come back before anyone knew I was missing. However, my bladder is full enough as it is, and with my prosthetic leg, running fast enough would be nearly impossible.

Speaking of which, my bladder chose right then to send painful spasms through my body, I doubled over and pressed my hands against my front to hold off an accident, even though a few spurts escaped into my leggings. I glanced down, I new my undergarments were damp, however, my leggings were only slightly wet. A single dark spot was visible, but hard to see. I took in a couple breaths and prayed that I wouldn't wet myself in front of all the others.

If an accident did occur, Astrid and Fishlegs would care enough to keep it secret, but Snotlout and the twins would tell the villagers in Berk for sure. And the last thing I want is to become the laughingstock of Berk, if not the entire Archipelago.

With my friends around me, I couldn't hold myself, and therefore, holding the large amount of urine inside me was starting to become harder and harder as more spurts escaped and made a larger, more visible spot on the front of my leggings.

"Hiccup, are you sure you're okay?" Astrid asked, and now everyone else's attention was on me.

Perfect.

I tried to hide the wet stain on my front with the journal, but urine started trickling down my legs, leaving streaks down the sides of my leggings. "Well... gang, I th-think we should e-end drills early t-today," I stuttered, trying to hide the pain in my voice.

Discreetly, I tried pressing the journal to my front in hopes of holding off more of the flood, but my bladder was starting to give up. More spurts and even a couple streams escaped, dampening my leggings further and leaving very visible dark spots and streaks down my legs, urine dripped into the one boot I had left, and even down my prosthetic.

I backed away slowly from the others, already knowing that they can tell I need to pee. Astrid came closer to me, and I couldn't find it in myself to keep my eyes locked to hers.

I'm supposed to be old enough to avoid accidents like this, and yet here I was, blushing madly, with urine running down my legs, I gave up secrecy and grabbed myself tightly.

"Hiccup, you can tell us anything, why didn't you say anything earlier?" Astrid asked, "I'm t-too old to-to b-b-be having accidents, and I didn't want to l-look weak by asking if I c-couldn't leave," I pressed my legs together, trying to ignore the twins' taunts of "Go on, wet yourself. You know you want to."

They were right, in a way, it was becoming so painful, I didn't care about wetting myself anymore, just as long as my bladder emptied. Astrid pat my back, Snotlout laughed, Fishlegs looked worried, and the twins had opened up a bottle of water and started pouring in onto the ground, which sent the pain in my lower region skyrocketing.

I groaned, unable to hold it back anymore.

I can almost picture it, the heir of Berk giving up and wetting himself. It felt very relieving to finally give up and go, but it was also very embarrassing. I sighed in both relief and disbelief as urine flooded my leggings and left a sizable puddle on the ground.

I didn't cry, I wasn't going to give everyone a new reason to laugh at or pity me, but my face was as red as Hookfang's scales.

Astrid ran her hand through my messy hair, "Come on, let's get you dried off," she said, taking my hand and dragging me away. "Wait, so you're not mad at me for wetting myself like a child?"

"Accidents happen, Hiccup, you need to learn that nobody, not even you, is too tough to hide stuff like this."

I blushed again, "Uhh... thanks... I guess..." And with that, she dragged me down to our makeshift base on the island.

(I have gotten into Race to the Edge recently, and I used to love the How to train your Dragon movie a lot, so I decided to revisit old memories and write this. I do not own any of the characters.)
