Chapter 3: Realization
A/N Before I start the story I just want to thank you guys for 400 views on the story. I honestly don’t believe I deserve this at all, I mean there are many better writers on the website. I’m trying to make the chapters longer and more descriptive so wish me luck. And thanks again! :)
Chapter 3
School dragged on without anything happening. Go to class, sit down at your desk for an hour, and repeat. Sam daydreamed of what games she would do when she got home. Maybe she would watch a show or help mom with dinner. The final bell of the day tolled telling the students they could go home. Sam was knocked out her trance like thoughts. She quickly grabbed her supplies and headed for the door.
Just as she headed out the gate to start her trek home, Miki came up to her and began to try to make conversation with her.
“So…..,” Miki dragged on trying to find a topic.
“This may be an odd question,” Sam began,”But, when was the last time that you wet your bed?”
Miki’s face turned a shade of red from the embarrassment of the question,“When I was around 6 or 7 years old, wait have you been having accidents in bed?” Miki questioned.
Sam turned a deep shade of red,”No not at all! I was just curious that's all!”
“Okay sure whatever you say.”
The rest of the walk home was awkward and quiet. When the came to the point where they go second ways, they exchanged their goodbyes. Sam opened the door to her home very quietly. She didn’t want to wake her mother who was probably still asleep(Her mom has a night shift). But to her surprise her mother was standing in doorway holding something in her hand. Upon closer observation she could see it was some sort of pink fabric.
“Can you explain these?” Her mom said in a voice that showed something was wrong. She showed off the fabric in her hand instead of in her clenched hand. Sam was taken aback at what she saw. It were the pair of underwear that she wore to sleep last night.
“Um…..I……” Sam stuttered trying to think of how to explain what had
happened, but the words couldn’t come out of her mouth. Sam burst into tears, her face as red as strawberries (A/N I am hungry and want strawberries).
Her mom suddenly appeared next to her and began rubbing her shoulder. “It’s okay sweetie,” she cooed, “It’s normal for people going through what you are to do this.”
Sam raised her head from her hands, her cheeks stained with tears,”R….really?” Her mom nodded as she continued to rub her back.
“I’ve been noticing you waking up early and doing laundry,” her mom continued,”why didn’t you tell me about this?”
“I didn’t want to put any more problems on you,” Sam said in between sobs.
“Well I know that this is a little extreme, but I would like you to wear diapers while you sleep,” Sam looked up with a face that asked,”Did I hear you correctly?”. “But if you don’t wet the bed tonight I won’t make you. On the chance you do wet the bed I will go to the store tomorrow and buy some diapers for you,”
To Sam all this sounded as a challenge, and if Sam hated anything more than wetting her bed, it was losing. Sam nodded in agreement, not able to say anything without choking up with tears. Sam hugged her mom and then went up to her room to do her homework, thinking as she climbed each step what she would do tonight to make sure she didn’t wet.
A/N As suggested I made this chapter longer than the other two. I’m sorry if this is going down a cliché route, but it’s all I can think of steering it for now. Anyways stick around for the next chapter!
